Go Red For Women

In the time it takes to read this blog post, another woman will die from heart disease. This means women just like you — mothers, sisters, friends — are dying at the rate of one per minute.

Did you know…That heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, taking the life of 1 in 3 women each year?

Did you know…That heart disease claims the lives of over 433,000 American women each year?

Did you know…That we can make a difference?

The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® works every day to fund research and fight this killer so that more women can be saved. But they need our help. Please celebrate National Wear Red Day® on Friday, February 4, or any day to raise awareness about heart disease among women.

It is their mission and belief that together we can make a difference. This February we can join their mission and rally support to fight this silent killer.

How you can Make It Your Mission to fight heart disease among women:

  • Celebrate National Wear Red Day® on Friday, February 4, 2011 or every Friday in February.
  • Tell 5 women about heart disease, its impact on women and how we can fight back.
  • Love our hearts by being physically active, eating a heart-healthy diet and being educated about heart disease and its risk factors. Live Better With Life’s Simple 7

Make It Your Mission to save lives. Together we can make a difference.
